Volunteer
Peach Hill Park would not exist without the work of dedicated volunteers. In only a few years our volunteers have accomplished a lot and we always need more help! Volunteers are considered Members of the Friends of Peach Hill.
Our volunteers have:
- Helped raise public and governmental support for acquiring the park
- Raised money and solicited grants to fund the purchase, development and operation of the park
- Solicited input into future development
- Built trails, overlooks and picnic areas
- Removed accumulated debris
- Run public programs to introduce the park to others
- Pruned apple trees
- Solicited donations to support the ongoing costs of park maintenance
Become a Friends of Peach Hill Park Member
Formed in the late 1990s, the Friends of Peach Hill Park (FOPH) aimed to protect the Park's beauty amid development pressures. Since 2004, the Park has been public parkland, managed jointly by FOPH and the Town Recreation Department, funded solely by donations and grants.
Join us to preserve and expand access to this historical landscape.
As a Member of the Friends of Peach Hill, you will:
- help protect and enhance Peach Hill Park
- receive our newsletter
- have a wide range of volunteer opportunities
- be invited to attend the annual meeting
- receive invitations to special events on the Hill
